Dragonfly Voguing

I came upon this Dragonfly perched on a dry stem. I believe this is a Widow Skimmer. As I focused my lens and snapped, he slowly rotated around the reed, showing me all his sides.

Got something stuck to your tongue?

DON’T YOU HATE when you get something stuck to your tongue? This handsome Red-winged Blackbird was in that same predicament. Image #3 is the real evidence of this bird’s uncomfortable situation. A Couple of Wrens

This pair of House Wrens seems to be building a new nest in the box that is hung on an old utility pole near the old bar. Typically, it’s impossible to tell the male and female apart, as the species is not sexually dimorphic.… Continue Reading “A Couple of Wrens”

Earbuds???

Poor baby raccoon. His condition isn’t funny, but I have tried to instill some levity in the situation! The outrageously engorged tick in his ear can’t be comfortable. This little one sauntered by as I was filming some bluebirds. I was able to witness… Continue Reading “Earbuds???”
