Vogue! Mr Kingbird!

The Eastern Kingbird is one of my favorite species. Perhaps that is because they can be easy to film since they hunt insects by perching quietly atop a fence post or tree branch while in wait.

This handsome bird chose to land at the top of a tree next to the pond where I sat waiting for – well, just this opportunity to capture images of a lovely bird.

He looked up, down and side to side as I clicked my shutter – which resulted in photos that make it appear that he was Vogue-ing for me.
