The White-Crowned Sparrow

Sadly, these very gregarious little sparrows will be leaving for their breeding grounds up in Canada shortly. So, to honor them and the joy that they have brought to me all winter long, I am going to post some photos from the past month – even those that aren’t the best quality due to the low light of the cloudy days of early Springtime. Note: the birds with the brown “crown” are juvenile. Black with white on their head, are adult birds.

I’m going to miss these stout, little chaps! Have a wonderful summer and a successful breeding season!
