Finch Fun

House Finches comprise a large percentage of the birds that visit the platform feeder in the Pond Meadow. For that reason, they are always available to film. But, for that same reason, sometimes I look elsewhere to aim my camera as I feel like I’ve taken the same photo of these cute, little gems over and over again.

As expected, many of the pictures end up looking just like one I’ve taken in the past. But, surprisingly, I am still delighted with a new view of this common bird. The following photos were taken in the past couple of weeks.

I love this last image. It makes we wonder “what lies beyond the finch?” Which, now that I write it sounds like a great title to a book. Let me not forget that!
