The Northern Mockingbird

I was sitting near a Bluebird house “S,” where I had captured this photo of eggs in a nest on April 12.

I was hoping to spot either a mother exiting the house while taking a break from incubating or better yet, the male and female bringing food to chicks which had hatched.

There was a Northern Mocking bird in the area broadcasting his amazing repertoire of other native bird songs as well as sounds that I can only say sound like a Star Wars soundtrack!

He flew across the street and perched on a post.

Then, he came close enough that I could shift my lens his way and catch a bit of his performance.
