To Vogue Like A Dragonfly
Typically, I don’t go looking for dragonflies. And, that would be true when I came upon this one. I was actually waiting to see if a bird I briefly observed, would come back to the area. While I was sitting quietly, this handsome (as dragonflies go) individuals landed on a twig not too far away.
During the few short minutes he remained, he took various positions. It allowed me to see so many shades of his essence. With each movement, the sun illuminated different aspects to his colors and markings.
I love the dragonfly. I have taken many pictures of them. I remember one year when the sky was filled with thousands of them – as they flew through our yard. I have never seen that before. Thanks for sharing this.
